Where I came first
To know sadness
I discovered a dark impenetrable
Reflection of perfect happiness.
I was standing before the silvered wall
Of an empty childhood room
Which I knew quite well
As the waiting place
Of solemn yearnings
Where I had lived
Without breathing
For so many years.
I noticed
The possibility
Of an untried reach
Directly through
The darkened glass
To paradise.
Yet I saw as well
I was a man
And chose to dance
The vision
Of myself.
Solitary figure
Undulating endlessly
And alive..
