people can vote,
for or against
themselves.

the miracle of the
middle class; the social
safety net; fine public
schools; pensions &
benefits for workers;
interstate highways;
public housing; social
security; medicade; civil
rights; the internet; justice for
all.
it expanded handsomely
when everyone worked
together & everyone
shared.
its heart & its economy
sputter when selfishness
rules.
self-interest includes: taking
care of the poor & the
disabled & the old; providing
medicine & excellent education for the young & for the
growing.
self-interest includes
everybody in the country &
in the world.
there will always be
more lower & middle
than upper…
when voters get
together, they’ll know
what to
do.
