immediately following
the marriage of east & west––
the blessed couple ascended
upward through the clouds
for its honey
moon.
this is no
time for idiot
children.
just as the
west was losing
its common touch,
its common wealth
& common
sense––
mired in people,
smoke & modern
-ism, the east fell
out of yin & yang &
lost its middle
way.
perhaps the enlightened
sperm of wisdom
will harmoniously
embrace the patient
egg of
compassion––
but more likely the rough
beast will be
born in Bethlehem
as the flat earth
tumbles off the
turtle’s back &
shatters completely
into a formidable
new
beginning.
