peace is a higher
ethic than
war.
there are few
great souls of
war in modern
times.
few souls who
reached above
the victory of their
clan to their
brothers.
violence is the
way of pain &
degradation.
swords are
necessary in
a world of
swords
& the blood they
draw brings
harm to
generations.
in times far
past, war
bespoke the
virtues of
protection, loyalty &
courage.
the heroes were
like gods in the
world––
gazing into the
eyes of their
enemies––
heroes equal to
themselves.
yet, for all the
barbaric devastation––
the path of
honor rose for
some, out of the
bleeding dust, to
glory.
as the means
advanced, the
equality of killing
diminished or
disappeared.
how can one
human be a
hero who kills
3,000 humans with
the push of a
button?
how can we regard
an overwhelming
act of murder as
courageous?
or a country,
more armed and
dangerous than
any in history,
as the home of the
brave?
war is
power & power
corrupts.
