the sixth sense

the sixth sense
is a sense of belonging,
of home, of loyalty &
trust, of family,
of reciprocity & good
will.

at times, it manifests as
teamwork. in ancient
days you would hear it
in the cries of warriors;
in our times it fills the
hearts of players at
their best & of their
fans.

medieval kings were “ring
givers” sharing the wealth
of victory with their lords &
the fruits of well-being with
their people; even modern
corporate kings were once
philanthropists.

we have lived in a time of the
sanctification of self-interest
& the commoditization of
greed. the bottom-line has
shifted to the top; the heart
of business is
dying.

a boss is a fella or a gal
who’ll do whatever they
must to keep their job. the
objectives are simple: take &
keep as much as possible.

& this is how the corporation
sucked-up dollars & lost its
sense.
