critique of judgment

teach tolerance.
political grab-ass is no fit lesson for our children.
impeachment is not a partisan affair.

imagine you or your best friend
   have become president of the
      United States.

   imagine a special prosecutor
      has been appointed to investigate
the acceptability of every personal &
      professional activity in your
   life.

if you think this is not fair &
      reasonable, do not vote for
impeachment.

imagine that the prosecutor has
taken a personal interest in doing
you harm & will lose all semblance
of his political stature if he
      fails to disable
   you.

if you think this is not just &
      impartial, do not vote for
impeachment.

imagine the biggest mistake you made
in your life, or the most embarrassing
      moment.

imagine your enemies in control of
      this information.

you are taken before the largest, most
public forum that can be arranged––

you are demanded to humiliate your
      self with dignity, but without
   lying.

if you think this is both cruel &
      unusual, do not vote for
impeachment.

do you believe that manipulation by
the special counsel or distortion by
the media is a form of lying?

have you lied or are you lying in
your political life? can you do
   otherwise?

a person who consciously lies, yet
accuses others of lying is a
   hypocrite.

if you have not been unerringly
      honest in your political life,
      do not vote for
impeachment.

imagine you will be forced to
cast a vote for or against
      impeachment.

   what standard will you apply?

“beyond a reasonable doubt,” as in
a criminal trial? the rules of
civil law, or the demands of your
party or the influence of your
   constituency?

if you examine your standard by the
light of your conscience, you will
realize that you have left behind
the boundaries of law and pre
      cedent &

have entered the realm of political
power & ego where there is no
      justification beyond the satisfaction of
      personal
will.

if you reject subjectivity as a proper
grounding for historic decision, you can not
   vote for
impeachment.

& take this very special consideration into
account, the cause of “high crimes &
misdemeanors” if any, was not discovered
by the investigation, but generated by its
      unconscionable procedures.

bad history does not make good law.
   & this is a precedented
Fact.
