Snake for a Lover

Perhaps
You would be happier
With a snake for a lover.

Like the serpent he is
He could whisper dirty to your mind
And flagellate your ears
With the sharp edges of his tongue.

The dark length of his body
Would be the rings of the inferno
Around your waist.

He would make you burn.

His tail would find the
Crevices between your toes
And he will swirl up the
Bones of your leg

Through the unprotected
Gate of your passion
To the pleading cavity
Of your piteous heart.

This, he will brand
As his possession.

He will make his way
In and out of all of you
At once.

And at his leisure
He will seek what pleasure
He can find.

But when he is surfeited
And his will is done––
Be quite certain
He will leave you dry.
