Your Words

i

Words are as tangible
As shells by the sea
Or stones in the desert––

Some are keepers,
some not.

Just be sure
To keep looking and
Take the time
To really see and touch
Your world––

We are surrounded
By miracles.

ii

For if you listen with your heart,
The words will come––

Collecting like dew
On dawn flowers.

iii

Be attentive to
The faint voice within
Which rises out of the
Earthliness of your womb.

Give birth to these words
which yearn to be born––

To breathe,
To be touched,
To cry out,
To feel joy.

iv

For a time,
Your poems may be the
Children of your blood

But in time,
They will find their own beyond.

Poems live in the dimension
Of beauty

Where passion
Really lasts forever.

v

Please do not fear these
Words rising from within--

Emanating from the voice
Of the goddess in the center
of your heart.

Whisper these words
With trembling lips

Be still
And let them
Thunder in the darkness.

vi

These words are yours
To sing.
Recite them tenderly and
Let them be.

They are only yours
As a gift of God
To share.
