With my eyes
I devour the sky,
Swallow the redness and the rocks,
The trees and their greenness,
The loneliness
Of silent spaces.
Cold I feel
In the shadow of a distant sun,
The impersonality of the morning air,
And the emptiness of solitude.
Yet the quest of my life
Is unfinished
And as my fate demands––
I continue to travel
Nowhere
And without you.
