witches are evil!
burn them! burn them!
reigning puritans see in
black & white &
live without
sin.
yet, of all the miracles of
nature, seeing in
color is perhaps, most
grand.
but seeing in
black & white
simplifies things;
clarifies things to
make them
clean––to
make them
moral.
every day
another witch
blazes across the spectacular
coliseum of the
front page.
steroid users, corporations,
corporate executives, gays who
want to be married, the poor &
the bankrupted, the democrats
who want to be president, fetus
murderers, & the most perfect
witches of all … the
terrorists.
terrorists are the
perfect evil. they hate
freedom. they threaten our
children & our homes. they’re
faceless, cowardly, &
without identity or
number. best of all,
they’re not us!
we’ll be able to keep
burning them
forever.
we all know evil when
we see it.
bin laden, saddam hussein,
martha stewart, john kerry,
hank greenberg, arthur andersen,
marsh & mclennan, enron, insurgents, iran, north korea,
france. we’ll soon add
hillary clinton to our watch
list!
we even proclaimed a special,
unassuming name for some––
“unlawful combatants,” so we
could create a roasting
hell & torture them to our
satisfaction.
let black be black &
white be white, but
a billion colors are
missing.
now there’s
something worth
hunting for.
we’re christians, so we read our
bible selectively,
& all of us are sinless enough
to hurl the first
stone.
